SENIOR SYSTEMS ENGINEER.

Your Role

Digit IT is looking for an experienced Senior Systems Engineer to join our growing team.

Based in Toowoomba, you will play a key role in delivering our key service offerings: IT Support, IT Projects, IT Security, Managed Services, Cloud Services and Business Connectivity.

This is a senior role, suited to someone who has experience providing Level 3 Support within an MSP environment – complex troubleshooting and IT Project delivery skills are a must! 

Your Responsibilities 

• Provide onsite and remote Level 3 technical support to our clients

• Monitor and maintain network, servers and services

• Troubleshoot and resolve escalations from Level 1-2 Engineers

• Contribute to pre-sales solution design

• Deliver IT Projects including network infrastructure, telephony and IT security etc.

• Log and resolve tickets in our management system

• Create and maintain client documentation 

Your Skills and Experience

• Excellent oral, listening and written communication skills

• 3+ years experience in a Systems Engineer role 

• Logical and methodical troubleshooting approach

• Strong knowledge of Windows servers 

• Experience with Office 365 and Azure

• Strong knowledge of virtualisation technologies (Hyper-V, VMWare)

• Strong knowledge or networks (LAN, WAN, VPN and VLAN)

• Backup and recovery (Datto, VEEAM, Acronis & StorageCraft) 

• Focus on IT Security

• VOIP Telephony, 3CX systemS

• Mobile device management

• Attention to detail and clear, accurate and concise documentation

• A valid driver’s license

• Ability to build and maintain effective relationships
