  • What is the difference between IT Managed Services and the break-fix model?
    The subscription model, with fixed monthly costs, ensures a predictable cash flow for the business, unlike the break-fix model, where the IT costs fluctuate, limiting the ability to plan and make business investments. IT Managed Services include a range of services, but the foundation to any agreement is remote monitoring and management. By proactively monitoring and maintaining systems, Digit IT is able to detect issues and fix them (usually remotely) before they become a problem. So, the main difference between IT Managed Services and the break-fix model is that Managed Services provides a much more pro-active approach to managing your IT infrastructure and this, in turn, prevents outages and provides consistent operational efficiencies.
  • What is covered under a Managed Services Agreement?
    At Digit IT we provide tailored IT Managed Services agreements, so our clients only pay for the services they need. Some clients also engage us to oversee a single IT function including, for example, their network monitoring or cybersecurity. However, as a rule of thumb, Managed Services clients typically engage us to manage their IT infrastructure and support, including IT Support, cloud backup and system monitoring.
  • What are the standard IT Helpdesk hours?
    Our helpdesk is available 8:30am – 5:30pm Monday to Friday excluding Queensland Public Holidays.
  • When is after hours support available?
    24x7x365. Whilst we may not be able to respond as fast as we can during business hours, we will always aim to do our best.
  • Can I have regular onsite visits?
    Absolutely, in fact we encourage every client of ours to have regular visits. Most productivity affecting IT issues go ignored until the IT person “walks past”.
  • How much does a monthly agreement cost?
    We tailor a Digit IT Managed Services Agreement based on your business needs, existing IT infrastructure and budget. As most of our pricing is based on a per user basis, we modify the agreement based on how many staff your business has using IT resources.
  • Are IT projects covered in my agreement?
    Unfortunately, we can’t cover Project work under your Agreement. IT projects are quoted separately to your ongoing monthly Agreement.
  • Is the cloud useful for my business?
    We strongly believe a “Hybrid Approach” is currently the best approach to utilising Cloud technologies. A mixture of onsite and offsite infrastructure works for most businesses.
  • How long is the agreement for?
    Typically most agreements are 12 months, however the general rule of thumb is the longer the agreement, the better the deal (e.g. for each extra year of an agreement over 12 months, we will offer 1 month free).
  • Can I cancel my agreement?
    Absolutely, if we break any of the conditions we promise to you, you have grounds to cancel your agreement with us and walk away.
